I'm Jacob Long, a software engineer based in Brisbane. My work sits at the intersection of the web and AI. I build full-stack products, native tools, and the RAG and LLM pipelines that make them smarter, currently as part of the team at Jensen Labs.

I've been a chess player and a literature nerd since childhood, and both have shaped how I work. Chess taught me to break a position down and compose strategic, elegant solutions. Literature taught me to say what I mean in as few words as possible. I bring the same instincts to engineering: decompose the problem, find the efficient solution, and explain it clearly to the people I work with.

I'm optimistic about the trajectory of technology and hope to play my role by developing useful and impactful software to power the future.
